Early accessThe Chrome Web Store listing is in review. Until it’s live, install manually:
  1. 1. Download Fixnote. fixnote-4.1.0.zip — then unzip it somewhere you won’t delete, like your Documents folder.
  2. 2. Open your browser’s extensions page. Paste chrome://extensions into the address bar (in Edge, edge://extensions).
  3. 3. Turn on Developer mode using the switch in the top-right corner.
  4. 4. Click “Load unpacked” and choose the unzipped fixnote folder.
  5. 5. Pin it. Click the puzzle-piece icon in your toolbar and pin Fixnote.

Your browser may say the extension can “read and change data on all websites”. That’s what lets Fixnote draw on whatever page you’re looking at. It stays inactive on a tab until you click the icon, and nothing is sent anywhere.
